Introduction:
This is one of the greatest
initiatives of “Prime Minister Narendra Damodar Modi" to make a better
infrastructure for enhancing the economic growth of India. This initiative
will upriver farmer's activity, fishing community, port area, shipping as well
as Indian waterways at a standard level. In October 2021, the prime minister
for the first time announced this multimodal connectivity planning for making
India's economic growth. Apart from that, a high frequency based digital
platform also will help to maintain effective digital communication utilizing
both railways and roadways together. Mainly, integrated planning, as well as
coordinated implementations regarding infrastructure, also will help to make
this planning perfect.
Government steps in this planning:
According to the union ministry
"Sarbananda Sonowal" has already declared that the Indian government
has already started these initiatives through facilitated "ease of doing
business" in portable areas and "operational efficiency through
technology". Due to this implementation, any type of working capacity has
been grown on Indian waterways as well as port-related services. Focusing on
"Atmanirbhart Bharat Abhiyan", "PM Gati Shakti" will be one
more affected area for all Indian youth for their glorious future as well. Hence, regarding these missions, partially,
the main motivations of "Atmanirbhar Bharat Aviyan" and "Skill
Development of India" will be fulfilled perfectly.

Focusing area of this plan:
● This plan can help to enhance the “global profile”
of “local manufacturing sectors”.
● Mainly, regarding these projects,
local manufacturing sectors may “compete” with counterparts worldwide and some
new possibilities can be generated regarding “future economic zone”.
● Making "India"
economically strong, both "Indian exports" and "manufacturing
sectors" play an important role in economical strengths. In this scenario,
"PM Gati Sakti Master Plan" will help to make a good attachment
globally through selling products.
● This plan will attach 11 industrial
corridors including Rs. 1.74 lakh crore turnovers based defending productions
and 38 electronic manufacturing clusters and 109 pharmaceutical clusters.
● This master plan also will handle a
51 per cent railway network with additional railway's lines with a complete
implementation of two "Dedicated Freight Corridors".
● Apart from that, the Indian
government also wants to double the aviation footprint by enhancing 220
airports, water aerodromes as well as helicopters.
The main motivation of this plan:
The government wants to create a
quality of infrastructure with the application of sustainable development
planning for increasing economic activity and make a large level of scope of
job creation in the future.
Significance of this plan
● To
make a coordinated effort:
Due to this total, the plan is one
type of collapse of multiple projects and mainly this plan will help to remove
long-standing issues under this plan. Under these long-standing issues,
"disjointed planning", "lack of standardization",
"problem of clearance'' are most important.
● Reduction
of total turnaround time:
This plan will be worked on cutting
logistic costs, which will enhance "cargo handling capacity" as well
as "reduction of turnaround time" in the post area.
● Reduction
of silo working:
This planning can address any kind
of problem in ministries and departments of government in the silo.
● Information
operation:
Apart from that, it can keep
informed to all entrepreneurs and investors regarding the current status of
infrastructure projects. This information would be helpful regarding time-bound
commitments from investors.
● Potential
with harness: According
to market researchers, this project is one type of game-changer. Hence, it has
excess capacity on "harness of potential".
● Reduction
of historical problems:
it is the first time this infrastructure will be so accurate for delaying the
eradication of significant projects. Hence, due to these projects, no huge time
delay will be accrued on project implementations, utilization of national-based
implementation as well as any kinds of sporadic implementations.
● Fulfil
government approach:
This plan directly will fulfil the
governmental approach with the collaborative power to reduce the coordination gap
on this scheme.
● Make
a competitive product:
It is quite normal that this project will
increase competitive markets to enhance market demands by cutting down the
project's logistic cost as well as increasing the demand-supply chain.
Way ahead:
India wants to fulfil their basic
targets to touch $5 trillion economic volume on these projects. Apart from
that, this country also is focused on technological innovation and the utilization
of new types of materials on these significant projects.
"Gati Shakti" on a different perspective:
● Comprehensive: Due to these perspectives, this
planning will incorporate an infrastructure scheme of different types of
infrastructure such as “Bharatmala”, “Sagarmala”, “inland waterways” and
“UDAN”.
● Analytical:
Regarding these perspectives, this plan may
offer around 200 layers of geospatial data like district boundaries,
forest-based data as well as river-based data.
● Dynamic:
Under these dynamic perspectives,
this plan will help to allow for tracking the progress of various government
projects within centralized and real-time data.
● Prioritization:
This plan will work with the involvement of
different departments and these all departments will be able "cross-scrotal
interaction" on these projects.
● Optimization:
Regarding this perspective, this
plan will help in selecting the most optimistic route on time and cost
factors.
● Synchronization:
On the other hand, this plan also will help to
synchronize activities between each department of this project through a holistic manner to ensure coordinated work.
Targets achievements on this project:
● To make 11 industrial corridors
within two defence corridors in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
● To enhance renewable energy from
87.7 GW to 225GW.
● To expand national highway networks around 2 lakh km.
● To increase the length of the
transmission network to around 4,54,200 circuit km.
● To innovate 220 new helicopters,
water aerodromes as well as airports.
● To enhance cargo handling capacity
for railway service from 1210 million tons to 1600 million tons.
● To make the addition of a 17,000 km
based gas pipeline network.
● To create 202 landing centres or
classing clusters or harbours.
Challenges of this project:
● “Wasteful expenditure”
● “Time-taking approval process”
● "Occurrence of a multiplicity
of regulatory clearance"
● “Hostile land acquisition”
● “Difficulties to take care
environmental clearance”
● “Lack of coordination between
different departments”
Conclusion:
Due to this overall discussion, it
has been concluded that "Gati Shakti" is multiple infrastructures
based planning that can help to make better economic growth as well job
opportunities for upcoming generations. This project not only will help
industrial innovation, but it will also help to enhance "Ease of doing
business" very well. Apart from that, improving the efficiency of cargo
capacity, this plan will help to carry more wages from previous capacity as
well. Partially, these projects also will contribute to sustainable growth
which will create more innovations and better demands in the upcoming
days.
