• বর্ণবৈষম‍্য ভারতীয় সমাজের এক পুরাতন ধারা যা আজও চোখে পরে কলেজের গন্ডির মধ‍্যে হয়ত কোন সভ‍্য সমাজেও।কর্মক্ষমতার সূত্রে ভেদাভেদ থেকে সূচনা হলেও আজ তা বংশ পরম্পরায় বিদ‍্যমান।বাড়ি থেকে দূরে যেদিন কলেজের হোষ্টেলে যাবার জন্যে পৌঁছেছি তার আগেই দিদি সতর্ক করেদিল দেখিস কাউকে বলিস না তুই S.c।সেদিন তীব্র স্বরে চেঁচিয়ে বলেছিলাম কেন s.c.রা কি মানুষ না।বুঝেছিলাম 3rd year এ যেদিন সবাই প্রথম জানল আমি s.c মেয়ে।আমার থেকে দূরে থাকা,নানা প্রকার আকার ইঙ্গিত,কটাক্ষ,দূর থেকে হাসাহাসি,সাথে দলবাজি,এমনকি আমার সার্টিফিকেট ও দেখতে চাইল।শুনলাম আরও কত কাহিনী,নাকি উচ্চর্বণের মেয়েদের নিন্মবর্ণের ছেলেদের সাথে বিয়ে না দেবার ইতিহাস। অদ্ভূত আচরণ,পরিবারের লোকেরা নাকি অস্ত্র নিয়ে চলে গেছিল,ছেলেটাকে মারবে বলে।তবে কিছু হয়ত বদলেছে ঠিক,তবে আজও বর্নবৈষম‍্য প্রকট যা এই সমাজকে কলুষিত করে।

There is an old trend of racist Indian society which is still visible in any civilized society within the boundaries of the college.  That day I shouted loudly and said why sca is not a human being. I realized that in the 3rd year the day everyone first found out I was a sc girl.  I heard many more stories, or the history of upper caste girls not marrying lower caste boys.  Strange behavior, the family members went away with weapons, saying they would kill the boy. But something may have changed, but even today there is racism which defiles this society.
