সমাজের আড়ালে চারদেওয়ালের গম্ভির মধ্যে বেড়ে ওঠা একটি মেয়ে।দূরদুরান্তের অচেনা সব দুনিয়ার নানা প্রতিষ্ঠিত ব‍্যত্তির ইতিহাস খুব সহজেই পৌঁছায় তার কাছে। স্বপনের জগতে বাড়তে থাকে স্বাভাবিক জীবনকে ফেলে রেখে।তার মনে নতুন আলো বাসা বাঁসা বাঁধে প্রগতিশীল চিন্তায়।গন্ডির মধ্যেই হয়তো তা সীমাবদ্ধ  অথচ সে জানেই না চেনা পৃথিবীর পেছনে লুকিয়ে আছে অচেনা অন্ধকার।একটু বড় হতেই বুঝতে থাকে পারিবারিক নানা বিধিনিষেধ,যা আজকের পৃথিবীতে দাঁড়িয়ে বড়ই বেমানান।পরিবারের সুউচ্চ তকমার জন‍্য নেহাতই মুখ বুজে বাড়ন গুলোকে হজম করে এগোতে হয়।সেই একই চেনা রাস্তা যে রাস্তা ধরে সব মেয়েরাই কম বেশি হেঁটেছে।উচ্চ আশাকে,স্বপ্নকে সম্ভ্রত পরিবার বাস্তবায়ন করতে দিতে চায় না।অথচ স্বপ্ন দেখতে সেখায়  ছোট থেকে।এ কেমন দুনিয়া না গেলা না ফেলা যায়। কোথায়,আজও কি  আছে মেয়েদের স্বধীনতা?খোলা বাতাসে স্বাস নেবার মত আনন্দ।
